Am Arunkumar Mourougappane(My friends call me A.K.), an hobbyist Embedded Developer,Astro-photographer, Nature photographer, Household Electronics Maker, Gamer and an eager enthusiast. I convert coffee to code and if you have anything interesting am all ears. To be short, am an Engineer, who specializes in analyzing, breaking down, reverse engineering Embedded Hardware for the sake of curiosity.
🏢 office: Where do I work?
- Currently, I work as a Core Information Software Engineer (Embedded Software Engineer) for Core Information Software Team at Caterpillar Inc., enabling secure Telematics, Over The Air Updates(for all ECUs in Machine Network) M2M, V2X and Back-office communications through Cellular Connections (LTE/4G/2G), Satellite Connections, WiFi and over the wire using Ethernet. If you see an Excavator, a wheel loader, Steam Roller, Heavy Truck or Mini-excavator, you might be seeing my work in action, protecting the machine from illegal access and securely handling telemetry and Software.
🔭 I’m currently working on …
- Building a Remote Controlled Rover which can transmit telemetry data, all while being controlled a mile or more apart.
- A new protocol to compress and send data over Nordic RF2.4.
- Peering at the Universe, looking for the unknown.
🌱 I’m currently learning …
- Rust and its various API with crates. My C++ brains get fried everytime.
- Still trying to figure out algorithms. Its been since 2015, I started delving deep and its still been going on.
- Astrophotography and Astronomy, It quite interesting to know even more about earth’s rotation relative to other planetary bodies.
- C++ !! Its bigger than you think and its ever growing.
Update 2024: May not be that ever growing.
